Church alterations

Martin’s Memorial Church on Francis Street, Stornoway, is seeking planning permission to alter the fabric of its building.

It is proposed that a door opening in the east elevation be created by removing the existing windowsill and ancillary works.

It is also proposed to replace the large non-original window in the south elevation and carry out various works to repair, refurbish, and repaint existing windows, doors, and roof timbers in a like-for-like fashion. 

The church would also like to replace defective UPVC guttering.

Erect a wind turbine

Planning consent is requested to erect a nine-metre tall domestic wind turbine at 36A Gravir, Lochs. The applicant is Jill Ireland, of the same address.

Erect a house

Planning permission is being sought to erect a single-storey house with associated access and curtilage at 83 Upper Coll, Back.

The applicant is Iain Martin of 68A Newmarket.

Amended plans

The Comhairle has received revised plans to site two caravan pods for holiday let use at 24 Callanish.

James Crossley of 24A Callanish has submitted the amended planning permission application.
