The non-profit organisation behind blood pressure checks yesterday (Mon, April 22) hailed the “brilliant response” to their first Health Hut at the Uist auction mart.

Declaring it a “great start” to RSABI’s new Uist project, thanked nurse Annie MacDonald for taking the blood pressure readings and issuing home health and well-being info.

A RSABI spokesperson said: “Annie says she was ‘astounded’ by the enthusiasm for the initiative and, during the sale, she checked the blood pressures of livestock lorry drivers, farmers from the mainland who came to buy, United Auctions staff and local farmers!”

RSABI (Royal Scottish Agricultural Benevolent Institution) provides emotional, practical, and financial support to people in Scottish agriculture.
